Getting Started with Soul Machines + ServiceNow Integration

The Soul Machines Workforce Connect™ app for ServiceNow® enables you to embed emotionally intelligent, human-form AI Agents into your workflows—without writing code. This guide outlines how to get started depending on your current status.


Requirements Overview


To use the integration, you’ll need:

  • A Workforce Connect Plan (7-day trial available)

  • ServiceNow® account with admin access

  • The Workforce Connect™ app, available via the ServiceNow Store

  • An API Key (retrieved from your Workforce Connect dashboard)


User Setup Instructions


Already Subscribed to Workforce Connect


If you’ve already purchased Workforce Connect:

  1. We’ll enable the Workforce Connect™ app in your ServiceNow instance. No action is required on your end for the app installation.

  2. Once enabled:

    • Retrieve your API Key from the Workforce Connect dashboard

    • In ServiceNow:

      → Go to Soul Machines → Configuration

      → Enter your API Key and click Save to generate your Callback API Key

  3. Assign ServiceNow roles:

    • x_soma_sm.admin – Full admin access

    • x_soma_sm.user – Experience creators and viewers

New to Both Soul Machines + ServiceNow

  1. Start a 7-day free trial of Workforce Connect at soulmachines.com

    → We recommend signing up here for faster onboarding and automation.

  2. Create a ServiceNow account at servicenow.com

  3. We’ll enable the Workforce Connect™ app in your ServiceNow instance

  4. Retrieve your API Key from the Workforce Connect dashboard

  5. Complete setup in ServiceNow and assign roles


Already Using ServiceNow, New to Soul Machines

  1. Visit soulmachines.com to begin your 7-day Workforce Connect trial

  2. Once subscribed:

    • We’ll enable the Workforce Connect app in your ServiceNow instance

    • Retrieve your API Key from the dashboard

    • Complete setup in ServiceNow and assign roles
